| Every
fabric has a certain character. Some are printed on high-tech presses,
others are printed using time-honored methods used for centuries. These
hand-printed batiks suggested the informal arrangement of the piecing.
Each
quilt is pieced "improvisationally" responding to the scale and patterns
of each batik. The dense freehand spiral quilting contrasts nicely with
the angular piecing. No two quilts are identical.
Sizes
are approximate and custom colors are available. Colors and fabrics may
vary, swatches are available for a $50 charge.
